Terms of service

Last updated 19 October 2026. MacroBridge is run by Obegi Software LLC. Contact: [email protected].

1. What the service is

MacroBridge does two things. It reads a macro-enabled Excel workbook (.xlsm, .xls or .xlsb) that you upload and produces a free convertibility report grading each VBA procedure Green, Amber or Red. And, as a separate service, we finish a conversion by hand for a fixed price, set out in a written plan that you accept before any work or payment. Nothing is sold through this website itself at the moment.

MacroBridge is run by Obegi Software LLC; "we" and "us" on this page mean Obegi Software LLC. We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation.

2. What we promise, precisely

For the fixed-price service we promise what your written plan lists, for the price it states, and nothing beyond it. The free report is a careful reading of your code, made before you ask us for anything; it is not a guarantee that every grade is right, which is why converted code is tested on a copy of your workbook before it is handed over.

We do not promise that converted code behaves identically to the original. VBA and Apps Script are different platforms. Where behaviour differs, the report says so under the Amber grade, with the specific difference stated. Read those before you rely on the output.

3. Price and payment

The convertibility report is free and requires no account. Nothing is charged on this website. The hand-finishing service is priced in its written plan, which you accept before any work or payment; the price bands are on the pricing page. It is not a subscription and there is no recurring charge of any kind.

4. Your file and your rights in it

You must have the right to upload the workbook and to have its code converted. Do not upload a file whose VBA project you are not licensed to modify or copy. If a workbook is password-protected at the VBA level, uploading it is a statement that you are entitled to its contents.

You keep every right you already had in your workbook, its data and its macros. We claim no ownership of your file, your data or the converted code. The converted Apps Script project is yours outright, with no licence back to us, no runtime dependency on us, and no add-on to keep installed.

The website, the converter and the report format are ours. You may keep, print and share your own reports; please do not copy the site or the service itself.

5. What we may refuse

We may refuse or cancel a conversion where the file appears to contain malware, where conversion would require circumventing a technical protection measure we are not satisfied you are entitled to circumvent, or where the report shows no convertible content. In each case any payment taken is refunded in full.

6. Liability

The converted code is provided for you to review and test before you depend on it. You are responsible for verifying it against your own data before using it in anything that matters. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the workbook in question.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Nothing is bought through this website at the moment, so nothing here needs refunding. The fixed-price service is agreed, and paid, as its written plan sets out. The refund policy describes how refunds will work for the automated conversion if it goes on sale.

8. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the version published when that purchase was made, and the date at the top of this page records it.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live. Questions go to [email protected].
