What we aim for
MacroBridge targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. It does not claim full conformance: no independent audit has been done, and the gaps we know about are listed below.
What is in place
- Every page is plain HTML rendered on the server, with one main heading and the headings under it in order.
- Form fields have labels tied to them, and the upload area opens the file picker from the keyboard (Enter or Space) as well as by click or drag.
- Keyboard focus is shown with your browser's own outline; the site never hides it.
- Grades are written as words — Green, Amber, Red — as well as shown in colour, so the report does not depend on seeing colour.
- On a phone the report's table of procedures becomes one card per procedure, with its grade first, so nothing has to be scrolled sideways.
- The site follows your system's light or dark setting and its "reduce motion" setting, uses your system's fonts, and does not stop you zooming.
Checked on 11 October 2026
The landing page, pricing, the guides, these legal pages, the refund form and a sample report were loaded in headless Chrome at 390 and 1440 pixels wide and scanned with the axe-core checker against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules it can test automatically, with colour contrast checked in both light and dark mode:
- No page scrolls sideways at either width.
- Grey secondary text — the footer, dates, table headings and line numbers — fell below the AA contrast minimum. It was darkened the same day and now measures at least 4.8:1 against every background on the site.
- The report's table of procedures scrolls sideways on a phone but could not be reached with a keyboard. It can now.
- After those two fixes the scan reported no problems on any of those pages. That is the automated part only; see below.
Checked again on 19 October 2026
- The report's table of procedures was 935 pixels wide on a 390-pixel phone, so its grade column was off-screen. On a phone it is now one card per procedure, grade first; at 390 and 1440 pixels wide no grade is off-screen and no page scrolls sideways.
- The file input on the upload area had no label of its own. It has one now.
- The report page has buttons to delete your file, and the report, without JavaScript.
Checked again on 25 October 2026
- Lighthouse's accessibility audit, which runs axe-core checks, found no failures on the landing page or on two guides, loaded on a phone-sized screen.
- Guides now open with a breadcrumb trail, marked up as a labelled navigation list.
Where it falls short
- Automated checks catch only part of what matters. The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader (VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS), in Safari's engine, or by a disabled user.
- Uploading a workbook, the breakdown download and the buy button need JavaScript. Reading any page, asking for a fixed price and deleting your file do not.
- There is no "skip to content" link. The navigation before each page's content is five links long, and seven on a guide, which adds a two-link breadcrumb trail.
- The converted Sheet runs in Google Sheets, so its accessibility is Google's, not ours.
Reporting a problem
If something here does not work for you, email [email protected] and say which page and what happened. A person reads every message and will reply to say what can be fixed and roughly when. If you need your report in another format, ask and we will send it.
